Chelsea Women sign Japan attacker Matsukubo

Chelsea Women have signed Japan attacker Manaka Matsukubo.

The 21-year-old joins from North Carolina Courage on a five-year deal.

Matsukubo has 19 caps for Japan and was named NWSL Midfielder of the Year last season.

Postecoglou to coach Ronaldo have being named Al Nasssr boss

Ange Postecoglou has been named as the new Al Nassr boss in the Saudi Pro League, where he will coach Cristiano Ronaldo.

Al Nassr won the Saudi Pro League last season - the first since Ronaldo's high-profile move to the club in 2023.

Head coach Jorge Jesus led the team to the title but had only been on a one-year contract.

This will be Postecoglou's first return to management since being sacked by Nottingham Forest in October - after just 39 days in charge.

Postecoglou had won the Europa League with Spurs in May 2025 before being sacked the following month.

Ake fee revealed ahead of Fenerbahce move

Latest from Your Site News' Ben Ranson:

Fenerbahce have agreed an 8.5m deal to sign Nathan Ake from Manchester City.

It is understood the deal is worth an initial 7m, with 1.5m in add-ons.

Man City say the transfer is not yet fully complete despite Fenerbahces public statement; however, it is expected to be officially confirmed.

Arthurs leaves Bromley

Jude Arthurs is leaving Bromley.

The initially joined the now-League One club at U23 level, going on to make over 200 appearances and help the club to wins in the FA Trophy, National League play-off final and League Two last season.

The club added: "Despite negotiating a new contract for Jude at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, an agreement could not be reached.

"We thank Jude for his services in a Bromley shirt and wish him all the best for the future."

Langstaff leaves Millwall for Salford

Salford City have signed Macaulay Langstaff from Millwall on a 'multi-year deal' for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old has previous experience in League Two with Notts County. In an ironic twist, Salford lost the League Two play-off final earlier this year to the Magpies.

Langstaff told the club's official website: Its what were all in football for to be successful, win promotions. A couple of the best days of my life have been promotions and I want another one. Ive been at this level before, and Ive got more experience now with some top players so hopefully I can share that with the lads.

Ive come here with a lot of ambition, I really want to be successful with Salford City and I want to win promotion so Im really excited to get started and hopefully we can achieve that this season."

Birmingham sign Fry from Boro

Birmingham City have signed defender Dael Fry on a three-year deal after leaving  Middlesbrough at the end of his contract.

He made almost 300 appearances for his boyhood club and was club captain for Boro last season as they reached the Championship play-off final.

Xhaka staying at Sunderland

Latest from Your Site News' Keith Downie and Dharmesh Sheth:

We can exclusively reveal Granit Xhaka will be staying at Sunderland

The Sunderland captain was wanted by Chelsea, who had a bid rejected for the midfielder.

But the Black Cats have made it clear Xhaka was never for sale.

Xhaka was initially attracted by the prospect of reuniting with Xabi Alonso, having enjoyed a successful spell under him at Bayer Leverkusen, and was therefore open to exploring the opportunity.

However, following discussions with the club, Xhaka has reaffirmed his commitment to Sunderland and now wishes to remain on Wearside.

The opportunity to lead Sunderland in European competition next season, together with the clubs long-term ambition and trajectory, were decisive factors in his decision.

Xhakas strong relationship with Sunderland supporters and his connection with the club have also played an important role in his desire to continue his journey at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland consider Xhaka a key figure both on and off the pitch and look forward to him playing an important role in the clubs upcoming campaign.

Fenerbahce announce agreement to sign Ake

Fenerbahce have announced an agreement to sign defender Nathan Ake from Manchester City.

The Netherlands international will end a six-year spell at the Etihad Stadium during which he has won four Premier League titles, the Champions League, two FA Cups and two Carabao Cups.

However, he struggled for regular playing time in Pep Guardiolas final season as City boss, with only six of his 18 Premier League appearances coming from the start.

Ake, a 41million signing from Bournemouth in the summer of 2020, had one season left on the four-year contract he signed following Citys Champions League success in the summer of 2023.

City are yet to comment on any deal for Ake to depart, but a Fenerbahce statement said: Our club has reached an agreement with and signed a contract with Nathan Ake, a player for the Dutch national team.

Ake, who has been playing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, will join our team at the Austrian training camp after his leave of absence.

Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim had reportedly made Ake a key transfer target prior to his election last month.

Fenerbahce finished as runners-up in the Turkish Super Lig last season.

Matt Bloomfield had been planning for the new season at Oxford United before the club's decision to part company with him, Your Site News understands.

Preparations had been under way since the end of the campaign, with Bloomfield working with the club on plans for the pre-season and recruitment.

It is understood players and staff at the club have contacted Bloomfield to express their surprise at the decision, having seemingly been backed by the club's leadership at the end of the season.

Oxford suffered relegation to League One last season but showed signs of progress under Bloomfield, who was sacked last month.
