RB Leipzig name Diomande price amid Liverpool interest

Latest from Your Site News' Amar Mehta:

RB Leipzig would be open to selling Yan Diomande for an estimated 112m [130m], Your Site News understands.

Liverpool are among a number of clubs interested in the Ivory Coast winger, and have indicated they are prepared to pay up to 86m.

However, it is understood that the German club would want significantly more for Diomande, as they try to keep the teenager for another season.

Liverpool are aware of the widespread interest in the Ivory Coast winger, who impressed in his nation's World Cup opener as they beat Ecuador 1-0.

Paris Saint-Germain are among the most serious of Liverpool's competition for Diomande, but Sky in Germany reports there has been no offer from the back-to-back European champions for the winger.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are also interested in the 19-year-old.

The 86m fee Liverpool are ready to pay at this stage would dwarf the Premier League's record transfer for a teenager, surpassing the 58.9m Manchester United agreed to sign Leny Yoro from Lille for in the summer of 2024.

It has been a remarkable rise for Diomande, who was signed by Leipzig from Leganes last summer for 17.3m [20m]. He had started just half a dozen games for the Spanish side.

Two years ago the Ivorian was training at an athletic academy in Florida and now he finds himself as one of the most in-demand footballers in Europe.

Newcastle reject Spurs' 80m Tonali bid

Latest from Your Site News' Michael Bridge and Keith Downie:

Newcastle have rejected an offer from Tottenham of around 80m for Sandro Tonali.

Roberto de Zerbi wants to sign his compatriot this summer as a matter of priority.

Tottenham's offer landed earlier this week and was knocked back by Newcastle immediately.

Man City are also interested in the midfielder.

The 26-year-old has three years left on his Newcastle contract, with a club option for an additional year.

He signed for Newcastle from AC Milan for 55m three years ago.

Tottenham open talks over Tonali

Tottenham have opened talks with Newcastle over a deal for Sandro Tonali, reports The Athletic.

The outlet claims Newcastle are looking for a fee of around 100m before sanctioning the sale of a player they signed for 70m (60.6m) in July 2023.

Manchester City are also said to be interested in the Italy international.

Ederson: Man Utd move almost done

Atalanta midfielder Ederson says his move to Manchester United is "almost done".

Your Site News reported earlier this month a deal is agreed between the two clubs for a 34m (40.5m) transfer plus 3.8m (4.5m) in potential bonuses.

It is understood the Brazilian has agreed a four-year contract, with an option to extend.

The midfielder was a late call-up to Carlo Ancelloti's Brazil squad, replacing the injured Wesley.

He came on as a substitute as Brazil earned their first win of the tournament against Haiti on Sunday morning.

Speaking to Sky in Italy after the match, Ederson said: "I have to wait. Now I have to enjoy this moment, then we will see.

"Certainly, everything is almost done, but now I to enjoy this moment. This is a wonderful experience and you have to enjoy the most."

Casemiro closes in on Miami move

Latest from Your Site News' Lyall Thomas:

Inter Miami are close to finalising their deal to sign Casemiro.

Terms are agreed in principle with the Brazilian.

Compensation with LA Galaxy for his discovery rights has also been agreed.

Miami and Casemiro's representatives are now completing the paperwork ready to be signed and then sent to MLS for his registration.

This is increasingly likely to be completed over the weekend.

Why Man Utd have 'easiest' start to new season

Your Site' David Reed explains why Manchester United statistically have the easiest start to the season and why Spurs fans might be concerned by their run in.

Real Madrid deny interest in Bayern Munich star Olise

Real Madrid have released a statement denying any contact with Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise amid reports of the Spanish club's interest in the France international.

Reports in the media have suggested the 24-year-old, who joined Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace in July 2024, is a target for Real, but the club have moved to deny their interest in the player.

A Real Madrid statement said: "In light of the information published in various media outlets regarding an alleged interest of our club in Bayern Munich player Michael Olise, Real Madrid C. F. wishes to clarify that it has not had any direct or indirect contact with the aforementioned footballer, his representatives, or individuals in his circle.

"Real Madrid also wishes to highlight the excellent institutional relationship it maintains with Bayern Munich, with whom it shares a long history of mutual respect, collaboration, and admiration, and regrets the dissemination of speculations that do not correspond to reality.

"Both clubs have always maintained a relationship based on trust and mutual respect, which is reflected, among other aspects, in the shared conviction that any potential interest in a player belonging to the other club must be addressed first between the entities themselves, in accordance with the principles of institutional loyalty that have historically governed the relations between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid."
