Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard's move to Besiktas is expected to proceed this week.

There is a total agreement between the clubs for a deal worth up to 17m broken up into an initial 15.3m plus 1.7m in add-ons.

Trossard has also now given his approval to the move and Your Site News understands he is due to have a medical this week.

The forward is free to complete the transfer after Belgium were knocked out of the World Cup quarter-finals by Spain on Friday night.

Inter Milan interested in Spence

Latest from Sky in Italy's Gianluca Di Marzio:

Inter are interested in Tottenham and England full-back Djed Spence, according to Sky in Italy.

Spence is one of a number of options on the Italian champions' list to replace Denzel Dumfries, who joined Real Madrid earlier this summer.

Your Site News understands Everton have also internally discussed a move for Spence.

It remains to be seen if Spence would be affordable for Inter, who also have Givairo Read of Feyenoord and Vanderson of Monaco also on their list.

Inter make Jones their top midfield target

Latest from Sky in Italy's Gianluca Di Marzio:

Liverpool's Curtis Jones is Inter Milan's top midfield target this summer, according to Sky in Italy.

Inter, whose interest in Jones is long-standing, are yet to formally approach Liverpool for the player.

However, the Italian champions remain attentive to his situation as they explore a potential deal for the 25-year-old.

New Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola wants to give all the players a fresh slate this summer.

Jones' future looked uncertain when Arne Slot was in charge following a lack of regular starts.

Composed Alonso makes no missteps on Chelsea debut

Latest from Your Site News reporter James Savundra:

Cool, calm, calculated and considered. Xabi Alonso barely misplaced a pass as a player and there were no missteps in his first media engagement as Chelsea manager.

The Spaniard refused to be drawn into making bold statements as he precisely laid out what qualities would be required for the club to return to the top.

Alonso spoke frequently about an alignment with the clubs hierarchy and sporting directors. There seems clarity in what is required for Chelsea to bounce back from one of the worst seasons in their modern history.

Alonso was open in admitting that important decisions will need to be taken. He waxed lyrical about the special Cole Palmer but seemed more hesitant to discuss Enzo Fernandez

The position of the Argentine appears one of the major considerations for the club this summer. Whilst Alonso revealed hed like to keep the midfielder, he opted against delivering a wholehearted backing. The fact the new Chelsea boss has yet to meet many of his key squad members Fernandez included may explain his cagey response.

The 44-year-old spurned the opportunity to tackle the Liverpool links head on and didnt wish to divulge his tactical masterplan. Chelsea fans hoping to find out whether their side will line up with flying wing-backs or a conventional back four will be left waiting for a few weeks longer.

With all eyes on the World Cup, the 2010 winner enjoyed a gentle start to life in the firing line. However, his controlled and composed approach provided an early indication hell be equipped to deal with the inevitable challenges in store.

Mourinho officially takes charge at Real Madrid

Jose Mourinho has officially taken charge at Real Madrid, some 13 years after he left the club.

The Portuguese coach has re-joined the Spanish giants on a three-year contract and oversaw training on Monday as Real's pre-season kicked off in the capital.

Mourinho left no one in Spain indifferent to his abrasive, but undeniably successful, managerial style when he first coached Madrid from 2010 to 2013.

He will now inherit an underachieving team and a club in disarray.

Madrid have not won a major title in two years, even with superstar striker Kylian Mbappe on board. The club went through two coaches in Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa this past season.

Club president Florentino Perez added to the sense of a club in crisis by giving a press conference to announce he would call early elections, which he then won, while blasting the media for what he considered a campaign to force him to quit.

Perez's re-election paved the way for Mourinho's return.
